How
do I apply?
Once you have found a programme that meets your needs, contact
us, and we will be able to provide you with the latest information about course
and accommodation availability, how to pay, and other important information. The
entire registration process takes no more than a couple of days.
Do
I need a visa?
Since Romania's accession to the EU, visa restrictions
have relaxed considerably. However, there are still very strict rules that apply
to the citizens of some countries. You can find the latest visa information at
www.mae.ro. All visa
applicants will also need to have evidence of Medical and Travel Insurance on
arrival in the country.
Will
someone meet me on arrival?
When you arrive in Cluj-Napoca, we can arrange
for you to be taken to your accommodation and given directions on how to reach
Bridge Language Study House. On arrival at your accommodation, you will find a
Welcome Pack with lots of useful information to make your stay as comfortable
and enjoyable as possible. Please note that should you require a pick up, an additional
cost applies.
When
do I need to pay?
Programme fees are due no later than 4 weeks prior to
your arrival date. All payment information will be sent in your confirmation letter.
Where
will I stay?
We offer a variety of accommodation options to suit different
budgets from hostel/hotel to private apartments. There is also limited opportunities
for host-family accommodation, where you live with a local family, in your own
private room. This is a wonderful opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the
culture and practice using the language you are learning.
How
can I get around while I am there?
Cluj-Napoca has an excellent public
transport network, and you will not have to look far for a taxi either. Most of
our accommodation options are well served by public transportation and within
easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and banks. Your Welcome Pack will
also give you some more information.
How
much money should I bring?
We do not recommend that you bring too much
foreign currency. Cash machines (ATM) in Romania accept all major types of card
(Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, etc.). The
NUMBEO website maintains a pretty accurate database for the cost of living
in Cluj Napoca.
If
you have any other questions that we haven't included on this page, please
ask!
